Acupuncture
Gentle, personalised support for mind, body and spirit
No two people are the same and neither are their treatments. My acupuncture sessions are thoughtfully tailored to you as an individual, taking into account your full health story, not just your symptoms. Chinese medicine recognises that true healing comes from addressing the whole person, physical, emotional and energetic, gently guiding the body back into balance.
During your first appointment, we’ll spend time exploring not just your main concern, but also your wider health, including sleep, digestion, mood, energy and overall wellbeing. This allows me to create a personalised treatment plan that supports you as a whole.
How acupuncture can support you:
• Hormonal balance: including perimenopause, menopause, PMS and fertility
• Anxiety, low mood and emotional overwhelm
• Stress, burnout and feeling ‘out of balance’
• Sleep difficulties and fatigue
• Digestive health and gut issues
• Muscular tension, pain and headaches
• Supportive care for chronic conditions
What happens during treatment:
Very fine, hair-thin needles are gently placed into carefully chosen acupuncture points along the body’s natural energy pathways, known as meridians. Although the needles may create a momentary sensation as they connect with your body’s energy, most people find treatment deeply relaxing, often experiencing a sense of calm that continues after the session.
The aim of each treatment is to activate your body’s natural healing response, restoring emotional, physical and mental equilibrium, helping you feel more like yourself again. Many people find that alongside improvements in their original concern, they experience an unexpected sense of balance, calm, and renewed wellbeing.
Your first appointment:
During your first consultation (60–90 minutes), we’ll:
• Take a detailed health history and gently explore your current symptoms
• Include pulse and tongue diagnosis (key elements of Chinese medicine)
• Provide your first full acupuncture treatment
• Create a personalised plan based on your unique needs
Ongoing care and support:
In most cases, a course of 6 regular treatments provides the best foundation for lasting change. As we progress, we’ll review together and adjust your plan at a pace that feels right for you. Many patients find regular top-up sessions every 4–6 weeks help maintain balance and prevent symptoms from returning.
Safe, professional care you can trust:
As a fully degree-qualified acupuncturist a Professional Standards Authority registered practitioner and Association of Acupuncture Clinicians (AAC) member, you can feel confident that you are receiving safe, effective and professional care at every stage.
